What is this?

This map is for marking locations where seagulls have shown aggressive behaviour, or where a nest is suspected nearby. Click the map where the incident happened. A comment is optional, but helpful — e.g. what happened, when, and/or more detail about the location (which building, street corner, or landmark it relates to). The more precise the comment, the more useful the marking is for others passing through the area.

The map covers postcodes 103 and 108 in Reykjavík — the area outside is greyed out and cannot be marked.

Anonymous or with an account — what's the difference?

You don't need an account to add a marking. As soon as you submit one, it's linked to your browser (via a cookie), which lets you edit or delete your own marking later — but only from that same browser, on the same device.

If you create an account (optional, not required), this shifts to your account instead — meaning you can edit/delete your own markings from any device, not just the browser you started in.
